3 months

Eli you are three months old.  You grab onto lots of things and love your oball and a toy with lots of things to grab onto.    You love grabbing my hair and hold onto my necklace too.  You hold onto me pretty tightly too.  You will wrap your legs around me and always hug onto my shoulder.  It is so sweet and makes me feel like a good mommy with my little monkey hanging on.  

Just in the last few days you hum along with me while you are falling asleep.  You have been very vocal from the beginning always making sounds.  I love the gurgles and coos you make.  I have almost had you laughing a few times too.  (Update... You laughed!!!... The sweetest sound in the world) 

You are always looking to Lila, you want to see her and know where she is always.  She loves playing with you and reading you stories but her favorite thing to so is change your diaper.  In fact, she gets upset when she doesn't get to!  

You roll over both ways.  As soon as you are put on your back you flip over.  Rolling from your tummy to your back is a bit harder it seems and it always suprises you when you flip. 

You slept on my chest the fist couple of months until you got too big and started falling off.  Now you sleep soundly snuggled up next to me.  

Oh Eli my dear boy.  It is a joy to be your mommy!  I love you happy 3 months buddy.

Hi Eli!!

Hi buddy, thats what Lila and I call you sometimes.  And smiley boy.  This is my online collection of notes and memories for you.  

You just turned two months old.  You are not a newborn anymore.  But still a tiny baby.  The first few weeks you were so mellow.  You slept all the time and slept and slept and ate and slept some more.  We stayed in bed together for two weeks after we got home.  Two weeks after you were born we took our first trip out of the house back to the midwife.  You were healthy and up past your birth weight.  At your six week check up you weighed 11 lbs 11 oz no wonder my arm gets so sore from holding you.  Your favorite way to go to sleep is on my shoulder mostly walking around but rocking too.  You are mostly a mellow baby and only seem to cry when you get too tired.  Getting too tired can happen all too often.  Lila loves you so much.  She loves taking care if you and recently started changing your diaper "all by herself".  She likes getting you clothes to wear and throwing sorry diapers away.  She also lets my know what you need, when you are tired hungry etc.  She is always talking to you and and singing to you.  When you cry she tells you "it's okay buddy and it's okay Eli. " she also wakes you up all the time, bit what can we expect from a 3 year old?  Not silence :). And I'm sure you will get her back one day. 

Eli you are so sweet.  You coo and try to laugh and talk all the time.  You are such a happy sweet baby who I love so much. 

You grabbed the "o ball" a few days ago and you also just started holding your hands together.  You are gaining control over your hands and legs.  You sleep well at night and until just a few days ago had only spent the nights sleeping on my chest.  You can pick your head up so well and were simply falling off me because you are getting so big that now you sleep next to me.  It seems you like your head touching my face because you always wiggle to end up there.  

Oh Eli I love you so and am so lucky to be your mommy.
